Waterpik® Tip Replacement

Standard Tips

The Waterpik® water jets can be used with water, with mouthwash solutions or other anti-bacterial solutions. Ask your dentist for advice regarding the most appropriate solution for you.

To use the standard tip, bend down towards the washbasin and put the tip in your mouth. Point the tip towards your teeth and turn on the water jet. Point the irrigator flow forming a 90º angle towards the gums line. Gently close your lips to avoid splashes but let water freely flow in your mouth. To obtain optimal results, start from the rear area of your mouth and continue towards the front side. Follow the gums line and briefly pause between teeth. Continue until you have cleaned all the areas around the teeth and between teeth.

Pik Pocket® Tip

The Pik Pocket® tip sends water or anti-bacterial solution to deeper areas below gums line.

To use the Pik Pocket® tip, bend down towards the washbasin, place the flexible tip forming a 45º angle on the teeth and gently place it below the gums line, towards the gingival pocket. Turn on the unit at slow speed and low pressure level and carefully clean the gums inserting the tip between teeth. Move along the gums line applying the water jet until the reservoir is empty.

Orthodontic Tip

During orthodontic treatment, oral hygiene is critical as the presence of appliances makes it difficult to keep your mouth clean and promotes dental biofilm and food debris build up.

To use the orthodontic tip, start from the rear molar. Place the tip in the gingival edge forming a 90º angle with the tooth. Gently slide the tip along the gums line, briefly pausing to brush the area between the tooth and the orthodontic piece, before moving to the following tooth. Continue with this process until you have watered the inside and outside of the top row and the lower row of your teeth.

In order to get the best results, we recommend changing the orthodontic tip every 6 months.
