History
Dentaid is a manufacturing company specialised in oral hygiene that was founded in 1980 with a clear mission: to improve oral health throughout society.
The company, which started out as a small, family-run operation, has grown over the years to become an internationally renowned, leading oral hygiene corporation, whose specialty is to find cutting-edge solutions for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases caused by oral biofilms.
Our first big innovation in the field was in 1984, with the launch of DESENSIN®, a revolutionary treatment for fighting dentinal hyperesthesia. In 1989, we continued our product innovation with the birth of INTERPROX®, the first brush designed to clean interdental spaces. In 1997, we developed HALITA®, the first scientific treatment for controlling oral halitosis, a problem that affects a large portion of society. Later, in 1999, we presented our ground-breaking formula for PERIO•AID®, the first and only scientifically endorsed oral antiseptic to combine two antiseptics (Chlorhexidine and Cetylpyridinium chloride).
Throughout our long trajectory, we have worked closely with dentists, hygienists and pharmacists with the goal and commitment of always being one step ahead of the game in terms of innovation.
